Programming Background

Back in college we were taught computer programming using Pascal. But for our thesis we chose Borland C++ builder due to its Rapid Application Development (RAD) so it was a little bit easier to digest than the Microsoft variety. At work, I have used VB Script, Visual Basic, PERL, SQL, and just this year, Web Programming using PHP and MySQL (plus HTML, CSS and Javascript).

Plans for this Blog

The whole intent of this blog is primarily to share some knowledge I have gained while working for a large hi-tech company and about life in general. I love open source and freeware so expect to hear much about them. I have started learning Web programming just this year and I am having a blast! I probably will start-off this blog with a series of posts that explain the path I chose and all my experiences along the way. WARNING: This blog will get down and dirty in geeky topics so be forewarned. For the rest of us geeks, please stay tuned!
